REVIEW: COSEYE ( EOS DOLLYEYE CIRCLE LENSES )

product: EOS DollyEye circle lenses
from: coseye

hey everyone! c:
it's april again. happy new year, i hope 2014 started well for all of you. i have these circle lenses since a while now but due to various trips and all that end-year-stress i wasn't able to do the review. but - here it is!

these three pairs were kindly sponsored from coseye, a store located in malaysia, which sells not only colored contact lenses (with prescription), but also all kinds of cosmetics, like false eyelashes, for instance. they also carry items from the 3concepteyes brand from stylenanda! and the best thing about it is that the shipping is completely free!

coseye was kind enough to sponsor me and, to my surprise, they sent me three pairs, all from the dollyeye series. the little envelope arrived on the same day as the lavender latte bows did, which was on december 4. they were apparently shipped between november 22 - 24, and they arrived incredibly fast! thanks coseye!

the different circle lenses i received are:

diameter: 14.2mm
water content: 38%
base curve: 8.6mm
life span: 1 year disposal

( sorry i have none of the gray ones since they were inverted ; - ; )

as you can see, the colors are really vibrant and strong. unlike the cirlce lenses i used to wear, they do not blend with your eye color, but they simply overlap it. that gives a nice effect, especially in photos ( you will see them below ).

in this close-up, you can see how pigmented these lenses are. they have a strong black rim on the outside and a rather small gap for your pupil.

DESIGN / COLOR :
personally, i really like the design and the colors. though i have to say that i prefer the blue and gray ones to the brown pair, since i think they suit me better. just like my optician-auntie said, if you have black hair, blue and gray circle lenses will suit you. and they did, perfectly. the gray ones give me a more sophisticated look, while the blue ones give me a rather cute look. the brown ones? well, they remind me of 2ne1's cl, i don't know why, even though they turn out to be quite yellow-ish.

ENLARGEMENT
though i usually look for enlargement when i buy circle lenses, i'd have to say that the dollyeye ones don't really do much to your eyes. i guess that the focus is on the color, but that's fine with me. 14.2mm is a good diameter to start with, if you are too scared to go for bigger ones.

COMFORT
i first put on the brown pair and it felt a little uncomfortable at first. they didn't center really well and i always had the feeling that something was in my eye and that the circle lenses weren't able to center well.
however, as i tried on the blue pair, i officially fell in love. they are actually quite comfortable, even though your visual angle might become a little blue/gray/brown on the edges. but you'll get used to it! it was probably only this one brown pair which didn't center.

OVERALL

a big thank you to coseye.net for sponsoring this review <3
